Great practice for Thanksgiving thematic vocabulary. Simply print and laminate the picture cards/sentence cards to “hide” in the classroom.

The students should find a word/sentence posted in your classroom and write it in the correct box on the recording sheet.

There are three levels of the recording sheets so you can differentiate this activity.
1. Match the picture on the recording sheet to a picture card.
2. Find a picture card that has a word with a specific letter.
3. Find a sentence card that has the word on the response sheet.

By decoding glyphs, students will learn how to collect and interpret data in a fun way. They are an effective way for young students to practice and improve their communication skills without actually having to write.

With this resource you get 2 glyphs and a partner response sheet. The first glyph is a cut and paste turkey glyph, the second one is just coloring. Plus everything you will need to analyze the data with your class after they are finished creating their glyphs.

Your kindergarten or first grade students will love these.
